It’s imperative that modern renovation enhances historical architecture; you want to preserve as much character as possible. Yehans® Systems are experts in engineering structural solutions that comply with the strict permission system of listed buildings.
Our minimally framed glazing is a popular choice for these projects because of the glass links you can create with it. The clear distinction it creates between old and new highlights the original design of your beloved building.
Expanding the living space with a contemporary rear extension, we joined it to the main house with a structural glass link. Fully glazed for minimal disruption, it’s both subtle and spectacular.
Our Slim Framed Sliding Glass Doors were specified in multiple configurations. Nobody has time for complicated mechanisms, so these large panes of glass glide independently of one another. Opening Dry House’s two or even three pane sliding systems, you can feel they’ve been designed with flexibility in mind. Alongside the sliding doors, customised with a consistent grey finish, Slim Framed Casement Windows flood the new extension with natural light.
High performance in style and substance, all the new glazing was thermally broken, creating a warm and environmentally friendly interior. Conversely, as some of the windows were south-facing, Yehans® Systems prescribed Solar Control Coatings to prevent overheating.
